A work number the whole team reads
Customers text the number on the sign, the website or the invoice — and only the phone that holds the SIM sees it. Put Resender on that phone, and every SMS lands in the inboxes of the people who need it, from a mailbox the company already has.
Set it up
- Install Resender on the phone with the work SIM. It can keep being used as a phone, or sit on a charger in the office.
- Sign in with the sending mailbox — a work Google or Microsoft account in one tap, or any company mail server with an app password or its SMTP settings.
- Add the recipients: colleagues' addresses, a shared mailbox, a group alias, the intake address of your ticket system. The address you signed in with is already the first.
- Decide with rules who gets what. Forward the rest sends everything to everyone you switched on; a rule for a sender — a supplier, a courier, a customer — sends only to the people you select; a rule set to Do not forward keeps a sender off everyone's screen.
- Make Android let it run — battery optimisation off and the manufacturer's switches from the battery guides, so the forwarding does not stop when the phone is in a drawer.
What the team sees
One email per SMS, from the work mailbox, with the sender in the subject after [SMS] and the text in the body. Every mail program can file them: a folder per sender, a flag for the ones that need an answer, a rule that pushes them into the team's chat if your mail does that. Searching last year's messages is searching your mail.
What to know
- Email only. Resender does not reply to SMS, forward calls or send to messengers. The phone stays the place to answer.
- Free forwards 3 SMS a day; a work number usually needs Pro — a monthly or yearly subscription on Google Play with no limit, the first 7 days at no charge.
- Privacy: the messages travel through your own mailbox to the addresses you chose. There is no Resender server and no account with us.

Questions
How many recipients can I add?
As many as you need. Each rule sends to all of them, to the ones you select, or to none — so a sender that concerns only accounting goes to accounting, and the rest goes to everyone.
Can I send to a shared mailbox or a group address instead of individuals?
Yes. A recipient is any email address: a shared mailbox, a group alias, a ticket system's intake address. Whoever reads that mailbox sees the SMS.
Do my colleagues see the whole phone?
No. They receive emails; the phone and the app stay with whoever holds the number. Nothing is shared except the messages the rules forward, and a rule set to Do not forward keeps a sender private.
How does the daily limit work for a business number?
Free forwards 3 SMS a day with every feature; above that an SMS is held on the phone, and buying Pro sends the SMS held in the last 24 hours. A work number usually needs Pro — a monthly or yearly subscription on Google Play, no limit, and the first 7 days are Pro at no charge for the test.
Is there a server, an account or a dashboard?
No. Resender has no server: the phone sends the emails through the mailbox you signed in with, and the only record is the journal on the phone. That is also why there is nothing to administer and no sign-up.
