Forward SMS to Yandex Mail from an Android phone
Install Resender on the phone that holds the SIM, sign in with Yandex ID once, and every new SMS arrives in your Yandex inbox seconds after the phone receives it. The email is sent from your own address, with no sign-up and no server of ours.
Three steps
- Install Resender from Google Play on the Android phone with the SIM card. It can be your everyday phone or a spare one in a drawer, as long as it stays on and online.
- Open Sending method and tap Yandex ID. Enter your Yandex address, then sign in on Yandex's own screen. Resender asks for the right to send mail from that address and nothing more. Your Yandex address becomes the first recipient at the same time.
- That's it. A new install starts with Forward everything switched on, so from now on every incoming SMS is emailed to you. Send yourself a test SMS and watch it arrive.
The other way: an app password
If the Yandex ID sign-in is not possible on your phone, tap Sign in with an app password under the tiles and enter your address. Resender recognises Yandex, fills in the server, and shows the three steps: turn on two-step verification in Yandex ID, create an app password under Security → App passwords, paste it. Your usual password will not work there — that is Yandex's rule for mail apps, and it keeps your account password out of any app.
What it looks like in Yandex Mail
Each SMS is one email from your own address to the recipients you chose. The subject starts with [SMS] and the sender in brackets — the number, or the name a company sends under — followed by the text of the message. Yandex Mail's rules work on that subject: put forwarded SMS under a label, move them to a folder, or mark the ones from a sender that matters.
Only some senders, or only one SIM
Add a rule for a sender or for a word in the message text: the first matching rule decides where the SMS goes, and the last row, Forward the rest, takes whatever no rule took. A rule set to Do not forward keeps that sender out of your inbox. On a dual-SIM phone, each rule listens on the SIMs you choose.
If the emails stop coming
It is almost always the phone's battery manager stopping Resender in the background. Open the app: the main screen shows a red line when something is wrong, with a button that opens the right setting. The battery guides for each phone brand have the exact path.

Questions
Yandex ID or an app password — which should I use?
Yandex ID: one tap, nothing to copy. The app password is the fallback when the sign-in is not possible on your phone; Yandex issues one only after two-step verification is on for the account, under Security → App passwords.
What does Resender get access to?
With Yandex ID, the right to send mail from your address and nothing else; it cannot read your mail. With an app password, the password is used for sending only and is kept encrypted on the phone.
Does it work with a ya.ru, yandex.com or narod.ru address?
Yes. Every Yandex Mail domain — yandex.ru, yandex.com, ya.ru, yandex.by, yandex.kz, yandex.ua, narod.ru — uses the same mail server, and Resender recognises them all.
Does it work with Yandex 360 for Business, with my own domain?
Yes, with an app password: the address is yours, the mail server is Yandex's, and Resender recognises it from the domain's mail records. The administrator of the organisation must allow mail apps for the mailbox.
The sign-in says this Yandex account has no mailbox.
A Yandex ID made for other Yandex services does not always have Mail behind it. Open mail.yandex.ru once with that account to create the mailbox, or sign in with an address that already receives mail.
